A Thanksgiving Toast and a Poem

A Thanksgiving toast:

May God keep and bless our nation of liberty and freedom. And may God bless all those who love both liberty and Freedom. But, for those few who do not love liberty nor freedom, may God then turn their hearts with our thanksgiving. And for those few whose hearts God cannot turn, may He then turn their ankles instead so that we can all see and know them by their halting, painful, limp.

For this is a Thanksgiving where;

We live:

Despite the trials and tribulations of our lives we should understand that we are the lucky ones who still live and still have hope. No matter what our circumstance, let each of us be thankful that we are alive and celebrate for all those many who were not so very very lucky. We celebrate and give thanks for the memory that still ives within us.

We laugh:

Whether it is the small child that brings us laughter or the silly posturing of our elected officials, there is so much to laugh about. Let us all be thankful for the humor provided by the lowns of Congress and our President. Though it is not cheap entertainment, let us make sure we have at least ten trillion dollars worth of fun laughing at this most extravagant and expensive Circus. Laugh and be thankful indeed for it cannot get any worse once you reach cosmic indebtedness where the joke of something for nothing is always on us. Let us then be thankful for the diversion of laughter as tax and spend gallows humor.

We listen:

Throughout our blessed land the distant bells of Liberty still ring true as a faint distant memory. Though there are many who toil to end all freedom and liberty, let us give thanks that they shall surely fail. For, we hear the bells and we know that freedom still resonates within our hearts and minds and can never be taken away by anyone or anything. Let us rejoice as we listen to the bells of Liberty and give thanks knowing that they will yet ring loud and strong throughout the world.

We long:

Let us give thanks that we still long for liberty and that our longing has not yet died. Liberty and freedoms that we used to enjoy will return with the coming dawn. We long for the light of truth once again in a world of falsehoods where only an occasional candle flickers to hold back the darkness. While we long for the return of dawn, let us give thanks for that single candle that keeps the long night from consuming all truth.

We learn:

Let us be thankful for what we have learned over the last seven years. We have learned the importance of; History, Philosophy and Economics and the necessity for truth in a nation that has forgotten all of these lessons. We should give thanks that learning may yet help us improve our lives and our circumstances. Though many lessons have been based on what not to do, and what doesn't work, we should give thanks for learning once again that socialism will never improve our lives. Thusly we relearn from the endless failures. Give thanks for what we have learned so that we may overcome the ignorance of electing more communists clowns. For this we give thanks indeed.

We love:

For all that we would love: those who are good and true and just, let us be thankful. Whether it is a faithful spouse, a child, a family, or good and dear friends and colleagues let us give thanks for all those people that we love.

And on behalf of the limping pair of wretched socialists, whom many do not love, let us recite this joyful but sincere Thanksgiving poem:

Another Thanksgiving

Another Thanksgiving,
The Turkey and Ham:
Obama and Biden,
Their Commucrat plan.
Still let us be thankful,
Since one thing we know.
For the homeless and starving
Only one year to go!
