Author Jennifer Lauck Revisits Carson City
In recognition of National Adoption Month, Carson City Library will host author Jennifer Lauck on Friday, November 18th, at 6:00 p.m., at the Business Resource Innovation Center (BRIC), 108 East Proctor Street in downtown Carson City. Her personal journey tells the story of heartbreak and tragedy. Her early childhood was spent living in Carson City. The telling of her story is about perseverance, courage and the remarkable capacity of humans to transcend the worst of losses with grace.
Jennifer Lauck is the New York Times Bestselling author of Blackbird, translated into 22 languages and published in 29 countries. Still Waters, Show Me the Way and now Found--released this year--which is considered the true sequel to Blackbird. In Found, Lauck reunites with her birthmother, who lived in Reno. Lauck writes of the complex journey home to her original family and the impact her adoption has had on her life. Lauck is an award winning investigative reporter and has her MFA in creative writing.
