For the weekend, the forecast calls for below average temperatures through Saturday as a trough moves over the West, according to the National Weather Service. Stronger easterly winds to between 60 and 80 mph are likely at the Sierra crest through Saturday morning.
Warmer temperatures and dry conditions are expected early next week followed by the potential for cooler, wetter, and windy weather by the end of next week.
