Western Bariatric Institute Hosts Free Fashion Show to Raise Awareness for Obesity

October 13, 2012 - 7:00pm With more than 93 million Americans affected by obesity, it is essential to raise awareness of obesity to help ensure access to effective treatment options. That is why Western Bariatric Institute, a leader in weight-loss surgery and educational obesity outreach, along with their presenting sponsor Hall and Wrye Plastic Surgeons, is pleased to announce that their 10th Annual Fashion Show will be held in Reno on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Pioneer Center. This is a free event and the first 200 guests will receive swag bags compliments of The Summit. Doors will open at 5 pm, and the show will start at 7 pm.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), the only non-profit organization whose sole focus is representing individuals affected by obesity. “The OAC is honored to be the recipient of the proceed from the Western Bariatric’s 10th Annual Fashion Show,” said Joe Nadglowski, OAC President and CEO. “This is a great event building self-empowerment among individuals affected by obesity.”
In addition to the free refreshments and swag bags, many prizes will be awarded including a $2,000 gift certificate from Hall and Wrye Plastic Surgeons and Medical Spa, located in Reno, Nevada. Other health-related companies and organizations also have donated great prizes, including Renown Health and Bariatric Advantage.
