Carson City's Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Max
Meet handsome Max, a big lover boy in search of his furever home. Eight years young, he has lots of years left to give you his love. Although he lived with other cats for most of his life, Max would prefer to be your one and only.
Max loves attention, but he's not obnoxious about it. He is perfectly content to follow you around the house and just hang out, and enjoy pet and cuddles when they are offered. As long as there is someone in the same room, he is purrfectly happy. He would do best with a senior or someone who is home the majority of the time.
He spent the first 7 years of his life in a household with 30 other cats. When his people lost their home and had to move, he came to Catmandu. Max was quickly adopted by a lovely senior lady and her daughter in December 2020, and was very happy until both of his owners passed away. Unfortunately, no one else in the family was able to take him and so he returned to Catmandu. He is adjusting quickly, but would love to have a home of his own again.
Although he is a little on the young side, Max qualifies for the senior to senior foster program which places senior cats with senior citizens age 55+. The cat lives with you and for all intents and purposes is your cat. The difference is that if something happens and you're no longer able to care for your cat, it can return to Catmandu. And, if the cat develops any health issues, Catmandu provides veterinary care and homeopathy. As with all our cats, Max is neutered and up to date on his shots.
Currently, rescues are overflowing with animals. At Catmandu we have over 85 cats. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption. If you would like to help by volunteering or by making a much needed donation, please go to: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City's orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties.
To meet Max and his buddies at Catmandu, please stop by Friday - Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street. Meow.
