Get ready, Nevada — the Silver State’s most beloved celebration is back, and this year it’s bigger, bolder and taller than ever! The Nevada Day Parade 2026 is proud to announce its official theme: “Pumpkins, Pioneers and Tall Tales” — a festive nod to Nevada’s rich frontier spirit, harvest season fun and the legendary stories that have shaped the state since 1864.

The parade will step off on October 31st, 2026, bringing together the community for a day of music, floats, and all the small-town magic that makes Nevada Day one of the most unique state celebrations in the country.

Meet This Year’s Grand Marshals

Leading the charge down the parade route will be Grand Marshal Steven Saylor. This year’s parade will also honor Legacy Grand Marshal Bobby Bean — a beloved former Nevada Day Parade President — posthumously, in loving memory of his dedication to this celebration and the Nevada community.

Want to Be Part of the Fun?

Entries are now open! This year, the parade is keeping things special by limiting participation to approximately 200 entries, so don’t wait — spots will go fast. Applications are available at: www.nevadaday.com

Heads up: A late fee will take effect on August 31st, 2026, so get those applications in early and save yourself some silver!

Contests

2026 is bringing back the fan-favorite Parade Decorating Contest, and we encourage all participants to take inspiration from this year’s theme. Entries may focus on one element — such as pumpkins — or creatively blend all three themes to design their float or entry. And new this year, we’re also adding a Pumpkin Decorating Contest complete with a cash prize! Full details on both contests are coming soon as planning gets underway, so stay tuned to www.nevadaday.com for updates.
