Carson area youth invited to give Lacrosse a try at free clinic
A unique sporting opportunity is on its way to Carson City! Designed to introduce boys and girls ages 6 to 14 to the popular sport of lacrosse, the one-day “TryLax” Clinic is open to kids from across the area, including Carson City, Dayton, Gardnerville/Minden, and Lake Tahoe.
When: August 21, 2021, 9 am to 10:30 am
Where: John L. Harvey field at Western Nevada College, 2201 West College Parkway, Carson City, Nevada
Who: Boys and Girls ages 6 to 14
The clinic is FREE, but all athletes must register to attend and capacity is limited to the first 50 female and first 50 male registrants. Each participant will go home with a NEW lacrosse stick provided by the USA Lacrosse First Stick Program and Carson Youth Programs.
Participants can register online at www.highsierralax.org. Registration will be open until all spots are filled. Athletes should arrive there at least 15 minutes in advance to get their pinneys, sticks, and station assignments. All athletes should be prepared with comfortable athletic attire, athletic shoes (no cleats necessary), and their own water.
