Carson City fire and sheriff's departments, Nevada Highway Patrol, East Fork Fire and Douglas County Sheriff's Office were called Saturday night to a vehicle crash in the southbound lane of Highway 395 and Topsy Lane.

Nevada is requesting $11.3 million from the federal government to allow the state to continue to operate its public health insurance program for 27,000 children in low-income families through January after funding officially expired for the program at the end of September.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called to a vehicle crash just before 5 p.m. Friday in the area of North Carson Street and Fleischmann Way.
According to first responders, no injuries were reported. Traffic is being diverted around the accident. Motorists can expect delays.

In the past two years, the conversation about renewable energy in Nevada has focused on fights over rooftop solar and the announcement of large-scale solar projects.
