Much-needed Medicare agency settling in Reno; Classes in June at Carson City Community Center

Event Date:
June 10, 2021 - 11:00am

RENO — The Medicare Store — an unbiased, Nevada-based company that provides cost-free personalized Medicare advice — is expanding their much-needed services to Northern Nevada.

The local Reno team is celebrating the grand opening of their new Reno location at 1870 Vasser St., Suite 2, which is across from the Social Security office and near the main post office.

The grand opening event will take place on Thursday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, short speech by Calvin Bagley, President and CEO of The Medicare Store, followed by refreshments and tours of the new office.

“We are incredibly excited about permanently investing in the people in Northern Nevada. We know that so many people have questions about Medicare and simply aren’t getting the Medicare benefits they deserve. We make sure every person is on the right Medicare plan for them because people deserve that peace of mind,” said Calvin Bagley, President/CEO.

Medicare Orientation Classes
The Medicare Store will also be offering free Medicare Orientation classes in both Reno and Carson City every month, indefinitely. There are almost 750 residents in Northern Nevada (Carson City, Reno, and surrounding areas) who are turning 65 each month. The Medicare Store is prepared to offer these residents imperative information about Medicare by offering these Medicare Orientation classes, in English and Spanish – for free!

The classes are purely educational to fulfill a need in Northern Nevada. No products will be sold at these events. Those who should attend these classes are close to turning 65, coming off a group plan, or already on Medicare but aren’t sure they’re getting all of the benefits they deserve.

The 1-hour class will take the mystery out of Medicare. Class attendees will learn how Medicare works and what to expect with each of the plan options. They will also learn about Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and about Medicare Supplements (Medigap), how to maximize their Medicare benefits, verify if their doctor accepts their plan, and how to save money on their prescriptions.

See below for June’s class schedule to serve the people in Reno and in Carson City, and surrounding areas. Due to governing restrictions, seating is limited.
