Proscenium Players hold Carson City auditions for murder mystery
Proscenium Players, in conjunction with the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino in Carson City, will hold open auditions for the murder mystery "Eat, Drink and Be Murdered."
Auditions will be held at the Carson City Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino in the Juniper Room on Wednesday, Oct. 13th and Thursday, Oct. 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Those auditioning will be asked to do cold readings and some improvisational acting.
Performances will be held at the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino in Carson City on Jan. 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th, 2011. Rehearsal dates will be determined on the availability of those being cast. There are scripted speaking roles for four women and three men age 16 and older. We are also adding additional cast to the production to mingle with the audience and encourage them to participate.
The show takes place at Grandma Rose O’Riley McFadden’s 80th birthday party. She is the only one who knows the family’s secret ingredient for their famous Irish Whiskey and both the O’Riley and McFadden family members are feuding over who is going to get it. Who will be willing to murder to make sure Grandma Rose will give them the secret ingredient? This is an audience interactive show in which actors will have the opportunity to do both scripted lines and improvisational acting.
