Carson City, Carson Valley and Virginia City among partners to build visitor appeal through destination development program

Starting in January, the chosen projects will begin receiving expert consulting services to help them create 10-year plans to develop their appeal to visitors and expand their economies through tourism.

The casino’s construction began in late 2021 by Shaheen Beauchamp Builders, and according to Pat Beauchamp, the casino held a soft opening in November.

A team of scientists have offered new evidence for solving the decades-old puzzle of why the extinct ichthyosaurs are there.
Nevada Division of Forestry opens pre-proposal period for wildfire prevention and mitigation grants

— Hazardous Fuels-Community Protection (HF-CP) Grant – These grant funds support hazardous fuels reduction projects and restoration of fire-adapted ecosystems. Projects must be located on private property that is adjacent to US Forest Service lands. Please submit your pre-proposal by January 17, 2023, at 5pm.
