Vendors are needed for a craft fair, hosted by the Carson City Emblem Club No. 507, happening Nov. 4-5 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Carson City.

Día de los Muertos held at Heritage Park in Gardnerville Saturday Nov. 5

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) will be held Saturday November 5, 3-6 pm at Heritage Park in Gardnerville.

The event is sponsored by Main Street Gardnerville, Douglas County Parks
and Recreation and the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Early voting kicks off in Carson City Saturday; no lines, quick voting available until 2 p.m.

Early voting began Saturday morning in Carson City at the Carson City Community Center.

While the parking lot at first seems full due to a swim meet at the pool, there is dozens of spaces designated strictly for voters only a few steps from the gym entrance where voting is taking place.

Carson Pediatric Dentistry officially opens its new doors in former Q’s Barbecue building

Many local dignitaries gathered at 10 am on Saturday 10/22 to cut the official ribbon to unveil the new location of Carson Pediatric Dentistry.

Most remember this building as Q's BBQ, but today it serves as a children's dental center where only the latest kid-friendly technical machines make going to the dentist lots easier offering comprehensive dental services for children, infants, and patients with special needs.

Nevada sees September employment gains; Carson City up 900 jobs over year

Nevada gained 3,600 jobs in September, adding back the jobs that were lost in August, according to the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s monthly economic report.
