Lyon County Sheriff's Office requests help in locating Dayton resident last seen Oct. 3

Lyon County Search and Rescue has searched the area where Richard was last seen and areas where he was reported to frequent.

Carson City students participate in earthquake drill with evacuation

The events were part of the Great Nevada ShakeOut, an annual statewide earthquake and evacuation drill designed to teach students and educators about how to protect themselves during seismic events.
Forest Service turns to hungry sheep in effort to reduce hazardous fuels south of Carson City

Carson Tahoe Health phone system resumes normal service
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 10/20/2022 - 1:21pmWe are happy to share that as of 8:15 PM Thursday the phone system at Carson Tahoe Health is back up and running, with calls being routed as usual. Carson Tahoe Health experienced a temporary telephone network issue earlier in the day affecting nearly all calls throughout the system and was utilizing other methods of communication to connect with patients for urgent matters.

Vim and Vigor, meaning “energy and enthusiasm”, is thought to be a rough translation from latin, but it’s meaning is fitting for those interested in athletics.
