Former Yerington assistant principal sentenced to prison for possession of child pornography

Rye announced Tuesday that the Third Judicial District Court sentenced a former assistant principal at Yerington Intermediate school to 12 to 60 months in Nevada State Prison for possession, accessing and downloading child pornography.

The resolution, initiated by Commissioner Wes Henderson, recognizes Dream Flights for honoring WWII veterans and collecting and preserving their stories to share with future generations.

Widespread prescribed fire operations continue at Lake Tahoe

Operations are expected to continue throughout the winter season to help land managers reduce hazardous fuels that can feed unwanted wildfires.
