Come and join us for our weekly one hour walks to enjoy Nevada outdoors around Carson City! Meet in the parking lot at Governor's Field on Evalyn Street off of Roop Street. Pavement path. Water and closed-toe shoes required.

All walks are 1 to 2 miles with duration of 1 hour with usually negligible elevation gain, and frequently on paved or smooth paths. Senator Square: Solutions classes through CHS offer extra help to all students

Solutions is in full swing, and Carson High School is the only high school in Nevada with this amazing grant. The grant money provides out-of-school-time supports for at-risk students. At risk, a broad term in this grant, includes students who are at risk of not passing a class, at risk of becoming truant, or just in need of a safe-place after school.

Nevada beats Air Force with another second-half comeback

The 10th-ranked Nevada men’s basketball team has been a second-half team all season, and the Wolf Pack proved it once again Saturday in a 67-52 victory over Air Force at Lawlor Events Center in Reno.

News reports person taken into custody in Carson City

UPDATE 1:02AM: Multiple news sources, including South Tahoe Now and KOLO TV Channel 8 News Now, are now reporting that a person in connection with the investigation into a double homicide in South Reno is in custody, Washoe County Sheriff's spokesman Bob Harmon reportedly told the sources.
It was reported earlier that a connection had not yet been made with the information at hand.

Lyon County Sheriff's Office issues regional alert following second abduction attempt

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has issued a region-wide alert after two child abduction attempts in the past two days.

The agency is asking all residents to be on the lookout for a van painted black (or dark green) and possibly with some red on it, too.

Dog lost on William Street reunited with owners
