The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Carson City Culture & Tourism Authority (“CTA”). This Board oversees all tourism matters within Carson City. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Center in the Sierra Room.
Applicants must be willing to commit approximately six to eight hours a month.
There are two (2) open positions.
One position is open for a 2-year term for a person who can represent “the hotel motel industry.”
The second position is open to serve a 2-year term starting in June, for a person who
can represent “the citizen at large.”
The Board of Supervisors will interview and appoint the qualified person to the Board. All members will serve without compensation. The City’s Boards, Committees, and Commissions Policy and Procedures and the application can be viewed online at

All applications submitted to this office will be considered public information.
Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2026. The Board of Supervisors will interview and appoint a qualified person to the Board. Interviews for this volunteer position are tentatively scheduled for a regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
