Carson City students recognized and honored military men and women on Thursday morning with a Veteran’s Day concert at Carson Middle School.

Veterans from all branches of military service, as well as families of students, were favored by the Carson Middle School Choir programs and Marching Band with a special selection of patriotic songs.

The musical ensemble offered appreciation to all of the brave men and women who formerly or who currently serve in the U.S. military.

Carson City schools will continue to salute veterans with events and displays Thursday and Friday. Among the other activities:

Eagle Valley Middle School, 4151 East Fifth Street
Vet Star Wall display, Friday through Tuesday, Nov. 9-13, 12:30 p.m., in the main corridor of the school. Submitted and displayed on star, the names of students’ family and friends who served in the armed forces will shine bright at Eagle Valley Middle School.
