The Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Sierra Veterinary Hospital for its continued and generous support of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.

For many years, Sierra Veterinary Hospital has provided critical veterinary care, donated services, and ongoing medical treatment to the Sheriff’s Office K-9 team. Their commitment has ensured the health, readiness and longevity of the eight working K-9s that serve alongside their handlers in protecting the Carson City community.

These highly trained K-9s perform vital duties in law enforcement operations, including detection, tracking, and apprehension of suspects. Maintaining their health and operational readiness requires specialized and consistent veterinary care.

Through their partnership with the Sheriff’s Office, Sierra Veterinary Hospital has played an essential role in ensuring that these K-9s remain healthy and capable of performing their demanding work in the field.

The dedicated professionals at Sierra Veterinary Hospital have continually stepped forward to support the unit by providing medical expertise, donated care, and compassionate treatment for the department’s working dogs. Their ongoing care ensures the well-being of the K-9s who serve and protect the community every day.

Simply put, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office could not provide the high level of K-9 service our community depends on without the generous support of Sierra Veterinary Hospital.

Sheriff Ken Furlong added, the Sheriff’s Office is deeply grateful for their partnership and their commitment to the health and welfare of these valued K-9s.

With appreciation and sincere gratitude,

— Sgt. Nate Brehm, Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Badge #3106
