Meet cute, colorful Patches — a pretty little calico teenager who wears her heart on her paw. Literally. This sweet six-month-old has a heart-shaped marking right on her front foot, which tells you just about everything you need to know about her.

Patches is one of ten young cats who came to Catmandu from a local home where two unspayed females were, let’s say, very productively living their best lives. The kittens kept coming and the owner was overwhelmed. With our assistance, everyone got spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Then they came to Catmandu to find new forever homes.

At nearly six months old, Patches is fully in her teenage era — playful, affectionate, and endlessly curious. She loves pets and attention and will happily accept both in large quantities. She’s been surrounded by siblings, aunts, and uncles her whole life, and that communal upbringing has made her into a deeply social little soul. Which brings us to the most important part of her adoption profile: Patches needs a feline friend.

This is not negotiable for her heart — the one on her paw or the one in her chest. She would thrive with another cat around her age, or – better yet – go home with one of her many siblings who are currently available at Catmandu. She’s not built for solo life, and that’s not a flaw — it’s just who she is. She comes fully ready for her forever home: spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

If you’ve got room in your home and your heart for a calico girl who will remind you daily — via paw — that love is right there if you reach for it, Patches might just be your perfect match. You can meet sweet Patches this weekend at Catmandu.  We are open Friday -Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street. Come early if you wish to adopt.
