Families across Northern Nevada are invited to a free community gifting event designed to support children and strengthen families. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the Northern Nevada Dream Center will host a Subaru Loves to Help Gifting Event in partnership with Michael Hohl Subaru and Subaru Loves to Help.
Through the generosity of Operation Warm, kids ages 2–11 will receive free, brand-new shoes and socks, providing warmth, confidence, and hope to children throughout the community. The event will take place at the Northern Nevada Dream Center, located at 3579 Hwy 50 East, Suite #211, Carson City.
In addition to new shoes and socks, families will enjoy a free kids’ craft hosted by the North Carson City Home Depot, and every family will go home with groceries. Community partners supporting the event also include Snap-on, Latin Tax Pro and Carson Medical Group.
“This event is about more than shoes,” said Kristell from the Northern Nevada Dream Center. “It’s about coming alongside families, meeting real needs, and reminding kids and parents alike that they are supported by a caring community.”
The event is open to all families, with shoes and crafts available on a first-come, first-served basis.
