The Smith family of Carson City is thrilled to announce the arrival of their daughter, Baby Smith.

Baby Smith was born to Mom Elliot-Smith and Dad Smith on January 1, 2026 at Carson Tahoe Hospital.

She was born at a healthy 7 lbs, 3 oz, and Mom is doing great!

Baby Smith is a third generation Carson City resident and is the newest granddaughter of Grandpa Smith and Grandma Smith of Carson City, along with Grandpa Elliot and Grandma Elliot of Gardnerville.

Kelsey is a fourth-generation Nevadan, investigative journalist and college professor working in the Sierras. She is an advocate of high desert agriculture, rescue dogs, and analog education.
