C-Hill Flag restoration work continued Saturday after a helicopter team hoisted panels up to the Carson City hillside earlier this week. These photos from Saturday are by Donald Schultz and the Carson City C-Hill Flag Foundation. The time-lapse video below is from Carson City Live Webcam on its YouTube page.

The restoration has been carried out by volunteers on behalf of the Carson City C-Hill Flag Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the iconic American flag on the face of C-Hill in Carson City.

According to the Foundation’s social media page, some 40 volunteers made their way up C-Hill Saturday to start re-assembly. The next volunteer work day is scheduled for Saturday, May 30 at 8 a.m. Below are more photos from the Foundation’s Facebook page.

After standing as a symbol of pride, patriotism, and unity overlooking Carson City and inspiring residents and visitors alike, the community is coming together to restore the flag, according to the foundation’s webpage.
