Winterfest celebrations kicked off last Friday, Jan. 30, with an assembly, and Carson High School was pleased to announce the student-elected candidates and theme: “Tangled Up In Winterfest.”
The week-long events, beginning Monday, Feb. 2, through Saturday, Feb. 7, will feature day and evening activities the whole school may enjoy, including dress-up days, movie nights, attending basketball games, the talent show (Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center) and more.

During the assembly, the school announced a charity event for the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, where the teachers raising the most money either shaved their head or beard.
