A Carson City couple representing Breaking Addiction Ministries (also known as Team BAM) brought home multiple first place arm wrestling medals while competing in the Nevada State Arm Wrestling Championship held last month in Hawthorne.

Terry and Tara Kilfian competed as part of the Ultimate Armwrestling League on Sept. 20 at the Hawthorne Convention Center. The two entered multiple weight classes included Men’s Open and Amateur, Ladies, Masters and Grand Masters.

Terry Kilfian was able to pull with his right arm for the first time since a back injury suffered a year ago. He swept in both the righthand and lefthand Masters and Grand Masters divisions:

1st place Right: 205 pound masters division
1st place Left: 205 pound masters division
1st place Right: 205 pound grand masters division
1st place Left: 205 pound grand masters division

Tara Kilfian followed up by bringing home two first place medals and one third place medal in the ladies division.

1st place Right: 154 poundladies division
1st place Right: 155 pound ladies division
3rd place Left: 154 pound ladies division
