Meet Merlin – part 2 of a special pair looking for a second chance at love.

Merlin and his brother Frey (last week’s Cat of The Week) are 6-year-old gentlemen who lost their cat- dad unexpectedly, and their world turned upside down.

Frey, a large and tender orange tabby, is gentle, calm, and full of quiet affection. Merlin, a soulful brown tabby, is a bit shy at first but truly loyal once he knows you’re safe.

A little more reserved than Frey, he loves affection once he feels comfortable and will happily soak up attention from the people he trusts. He likes to just hang out with you and is perfectly content keeping you company while you do whatever it is that you happen to be doing.

Indoor only cats, they’ve spent their whole lives together and bring comfort to one another, making them the perfect pair for someone seeking double the love.

Both boys are litter trained, neutered, up-to-date on their vaccines and used to a quiet life. They enjoy gentle affection, cozy beds, and just being near their human.

They’re not high-maintenance or rambunctious—just steady, loving companions in need of a soft landing. While they’d love to stay together, they may be able to adjust to new homes individually, given time, patience, and lots of love.

While not a huge fan of cats who aren’t his brother, Merline eventually gets along well with other friendly, non-aggressive felines. He has never been around dogs. A quieter home with adults or children who are pre-teen or older would be the best fit for him.

If you would like to meet Merlin and/or his brother Frey and possibly adopt one or both, please fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire on our website at: www.catmanduCC.org/adoptions.

Come visit our kitties this weekend for a meet and greet and talk with an adoption specialist. We are open Friday – Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm at 1829 Brown Street. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm.

Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. Please bring a cat carrier. Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat. For more information on Catmandu, see bio.link/momcat.
