Carson City Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon to C-Hill for an injured hiker.

At around 3 p.m. Carson City dispatch was notified of the injured woman and sent a brush engine and a rescue unit. Due to the terrain, Battle Born Medevac Air 12 was requested by the battalion chief. The woman was spotted by the helicopter, which landed in a zone where CCFD rescue workers safely brought her. She was then taken to the hospital.

The 63-year-old woman told dispatch she suffered a broken ankle and was unable to walk.
