When Sweet Pea was found, she was collapsed in an alley, dehydrated, weak, and covered in long, matted fur that hid how dangerously underweight she truly was. At barely six weeks old, she was skeletal beneath the fur, clinging to survival with a quiet willpower no one could ignore.

She was brought to safety, given warm food, clean water, and love she had never known. And slowly, she started to heal.

Three months later, Sweet Pea is a beautiful, curious, and quirky little kitten. She’s still learning how to fully trust, but her transformation has been astonishing. She lets herself be brushed and will purr softly when you pet her; however, if your hand leaves her body for even a moment, she might bolt!

Her favorite game is hide-and-seek, although she rarely informs her humans that the game has started, and often falls asleep while hiding. She’s affectionate in her own quiet way, rubbing against your legs when she’s hungry, climbing up to your level for a meow and a stare, then vanishing again into her lair.

Sweet Pea is healthy, spayed and up to date on her shots. She gets along with friendly cats and will tolerate a calm cat-friendly dog, but has no experience with children.

She is available for adoption and hopes to find a calm, quiet and patient home. She needs gentle hands and cozy hideouts. If you’re looking for a sweet, shy and snuggly companion with a whole lot of character, Sweet Pea is ready to settle into your home and steal your heart.
