The Carson City School District will host a quarterly Community Connections event this Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Carson High School in the library. The district’s Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program will lead the event.

Whether a child is in the GATE program or parents are simply curious about how gifted students are identified and supported, this interactive event will be informative. Come connect with other parents, teachers and district leaders to ask questions and learn more about the district’s approach to supporting differentiation for all students.

Enjoy a light dinner (first come, first served) from 5:30-6:00 p.m. There is no cost for the event. The information session focused on GATE will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The district looks forward to a productive evening and to collaborate with parents and families in support of every child’s success.

The purpose of these quarterly Community Connections meetings with school officials is to accumulate feedback from community members on how the school district’s updated strategic plan is performing and suggest ideas and systems to better help meet the goals, objectives and strategies of the district’s plan.

Individuals planning to attend are welcome to share this invitation with colleagues, friends and neighbors who might be interested in joining the discussion. Community members and families may park along the curb in front of Carson High School and enter the building at the main entrance near the flagpole or park in the north parking lot and enter through the north foyer.
