Carson Now reader Kayte provided these photos of this week’s crescent moon over Carson City. She write’s the following:
Last night’s Crescent Moon over Carson City, just after sunset. While the crescent is brilliantly lit with light from the sun, the rest of the moon’s surface that is facing us is lit up in a light glow from reflected earth shine — sunlight reflected off the Earth onto the moon and then back to the Earth for us to see.
