Gaming revenue at Carson City area casinos remained flat for the first month of 2017 compared to January 2016, according to figures released Tuesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Casinos in Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and all other areas of Douglas County except south shore Lake Tahoe saw a gaming revenue decline of .49 percent.

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,036,265,398 for January 2017, a 12.02 percent increase over last January.

Meanwhile casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe saw a gain of nearly 11 percent for the first month of the year, while casinos at north shore saw a nearly 30 percent drop from January 2016. Gaming revenue in Washoe County was down 7 percent, Reno, 7.82 percent.

Clark County casinos, especially along the Las Vegas Strip, downtown and North Las Vegas took in the most gaming revenue for the month.
