Employers are being actively sought by the Carson City Human Services Division Workforce Program to fill spaces for its September Job Fair, Workforce Case Manager Ana Gregg said.

Organized by Carson City Health and Human Services, the job fair is held twice a year inside the Carson City Community Center gymnasium.

The first of the bi-annual events takes place toward the end of February, while the second is held seven months later in the fall during the last part of September.

This year’s fall job fair event will be held Friday, Sept. 23, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Military veterans are granted admission into the fair about a half hour earlier than the general public.

Employers who sign up now will be guaranteed a space at the September Job Fair, Gregg said, so the earlier space is reserved the better.

Space is limited to 50 employers, Gregg said, and is reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Each space includes one table and two chairs, she said.

The job fair is a free event for both employers and applicants.

Set-up is scheduled for 12:30 on Sept. 23, about an hour before the doors are open to applicants.
