Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of April 6-12. Due to an ongoing water main project, there will be extensive paving work being completed as follows:
— Monday and Tuesday, Saliman Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Robinson Street to the entrance of Mills Park.
— Tuesday, Roop Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction and Washington Street will be closed from Roop Street to the library entrance.
— The Carson City Aquatic Facility will be closed Wednesday, April 8 due to entire parking lot repaving. The Aquatic Facility will resume regular operations on Thursday, April 9.
Thank you to all of the pool patrons for their continued cooperation during this construction project.
— Friday and Saturday, Oxoby Loop, the entrance to Mills Park and the Community Center from William Street, will be closed.
Due to events at the State legislature, E. Fifth Street will be closed between Carson and Stewart Streets from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 8.
The Carson City Landfill is upgrading the approaches to the scales at its entrance. All weighing of both inbound and outbound traffic will be done on one scale. Please use caution when entering and expect some delay.
The following sidewalk closures will be in place for the entire week:
— The north side of Musser Street between Division Street and Minnesota Street.
— The east side of Minnesota Street between Musser Street and Proctor Street.
