The office of Merritt Dunlap MD, a Carson City family doctor since 1999, wrapped up their ninth annual Angel Tree to benefit the State of Nevada Family Services’ Foster Children program. Nearly $10,000 was raised by Dr. Dunlap’s patients with donations of gifts and money and 250 wishes were filled.
The office’s medical assistant, Sarah Ferris, who volunteers with the local Cinderella program. Together with the Cinderella Girls and their parents, they did a shopping day last weekend and delivered the gifts to the Nevada Family Services Office.
“The has certainly been a labor of love by our staff, our patients and all the volunteers who make it possible for our local foster children to have a Merry Christmas,” said Dr. Dunlap. “Each year continues to get better and better, and we are so proud to be able to help our wonderful community.”
