The Nevada Day Store held an open house Wednesday night to celebrate its move into the Carson City Visitors Bureau (CCVB) building located at 716 N. Carson Street.

Nevada Day, Inc. President Janet Baker said the move was prompted by the amount of work that her organization has been doing in conjunction with the CCVB.

“We found that we were collaborating more, and it just seemed like the logical thing to do,” she said.

CCVB Executive Director Joel Dunn agreed, stating that the Nevada Day Store will be handling retail operations for both entities in the shared space.

The partnership, he said, will benefit both organizations.

Wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres were available to guests at the open house event, and staff was available to welcome visitors and answer questions.
