A suspect sought in connection to property thefts and stolen property possession was arrested Thursday morning by Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Fernando Luna, 38, was stopped in the area of Champion and Mayflower streets at around 10 a.m. by Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies. Luna was identified and taken into custody for charges related to probation violation and stolen property possession as well as stolen vehicle and eluding offenses.

Earlier this week the Carson City Sheriff’s Office announced two arrests were made in an alleged theft and stolen property ring that began in late October and continued to early December. Some of the thefts happened on porches of residential neighborhoods, according to CCSO.

Arrested earlier was David Lee Loving, 44, of Las Vegas. He was booked for six counts of grand larceny of a motor vehicle, one count of residential burglary, one count of each of the following; possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and convicted person failure to register.

Also arrested was Cody James Singleton, 34, of Carson City. He was booked for three counts of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Among property recovered from recent vehicle and property thefts and a residential burglary were two stolen trailers, two stolen ATVs, four stolen tires and a fire pit, which was in a package that was stolen and what initiated the investigation.
