Four arrests were made in connection to a vehicle that was stolen Sunday, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Among the arrests was a juvenile who turned himself into the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and admitted to a deputy that he stole a vehicle in the area of Applegate Way and used credit cards to make a purchase at a gas station convenience store.

The adults arrested in connection were Ashton J. Steven Nickell, 19, of Dayton, for suspicion of felony accessory after the fact (bail $10,000), a 19 year-old Carson City man, who was booked for suspicion of misdemeanor making a false statement or obstructing a public officer (bail $412) and a 22-year-old Carson City man for suspicion of misdemeanor making a false statement, obstructing (bail $412).

According to the booking report, CCSO received a call about a stolen vehicle in the area of Applegate Way. The vehicle was located approximately three hours later in close proximity to the location it was stolen from.

During the investigation, it was determined the suspect used the victim’s credit card to make a purchase at a gas station and convenience store on College Parkway and Research Way. Carson City deputies obtained video surveillance from the convenience store of the juvenile suspect.

The juvenile was arrested and booked into Carson City Juvenile Detention Center for suspicion of grand larceny of a motor vehicle, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and minor in possession, consuming alcohol.

In other arrests:

— A 45-year-old Carson City man, Raymond Frank Carpenter, was arrested June 11 for suspicion of domestic battery by strangulation and DUI.

According to the CCSO booking report, deputies were called to an East Park Street residence for a report of a domestic battery involving a male and female. The reporting party stated the male choked the female, pushed the reporting party and then threw a bottle at an RV before fleeing the scene in his vehicle.

Deputies investigated and learned the suspect had placed the victim in a headlock, using his arm and elbow to wrap around the victim’s neck, and also having placed his hands around her neck on two separate occasions, the report states.

A deputy located the suspect’s vehicle that matched the description and observed the suspect take a wide right hand turn onto Carson Meadows from 5th Street. A deputy pulled over the vehicle and made contact with the suspect.

The deputy immediately noticed the man had slurred speech and a smell of alcohol that was coming from his person. The deputy asked if he had been drinking. The man said he had two shots. The deputy asked the man if he wanted to consent to a series of standardized field sobriety tests. The man agreed, but stated he had major back injuries so he was unable to perform the walk and turn test and the one leg stand tests, the report states.

The man showed signs of impairment on the tests and was arrested for suspicion of felony domestic battery strangulation and misdemeanor DUI. He provided evidentiary breath tests of .108 and .108. Bail: $20,000.

— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested June 13 for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery and a violation of conditions warrant.

Following an investigation deputies arrested Brice Fike. According to the booking report, deputies were called to a fight in the 500 block of North Carson Street. Deputies made contact with the victim who stated he was hit in the head by Fike, who threw drink glasses at him. The deputy asked how he felt at the time of the incident. The victim said he felt afraid. The deputy asked if he wanted to press charges. The victim agreed.

Deputies made contact with the suspect who was detained. The suspect admitted to hitting and throwing a glass bottle at him. A deputy asked if he would consent to a preliminary breath test. The man consented and blew a .190, according to the report. Dispatched advised the suspect was on Department of Alternative Sentencing, which advised they wanted to place him on hold. He was booked for alleged assault with a deadly weapon, battery and a DAS hold. Bail: $16,137.

— A 49-year-old woman, Dawne Elizabeth Eidinger, was booked into Carson City Jail early Monday morning for felony warrants alleging obtaining money, property, rent or labor by false pretense, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, embezzlement and fraudulent use of a credit or debit card. The warrant was issued June 11, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $30,000.

— A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested June 13 for a misdemeanor warrant alleging violation of conditions out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.

— A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant out of East Fork Township Justice Court and for underage possession of an ounce or less of marijuana. Bail: $1,000.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report at 9:27 p.m. deputies were alerted to a possible intoxicated driver. The reporting party said the driver was failing to maintain lane, almost hit a curb and was slow to respond to traffic light changes.

A deputy located the vehicle at a restaurant near the corner of Koontz Lane and South Carson Street. The deputy waited for the vehicle to leave the drive-thru. The driver left at a high rate of speed. When the suspect driver saw the patrol vehicle in the parking lot, he slowed down. The officer followed the vehicle through two parking lots. The vehicle did not stop for posted stop signs at one of the store’s cross walks, the report states.

The vehicle continued southbound toward Eagle Station and came to a complete stop at the stop sign exiting the parking lot. The vehicle started to proceed forward, crossing the stop line and then stopped again. The vehicle then made a left-hand turn onto Eagle Station Lane going eastbound.

As the vehicle travelled eastbound, it started drifting the right. The vehicle came within inches of striking the curb before swerving hard back to the left, the report states. The vehicle came within inches of crossing the double yellow center divide line before it started drifting back to the right.

Once again the vehicle drifted to the right and came within inches of the curb. The vehicle then stayed within inches of the curb as it travel the rest of the way down Eagle Station Lane, failing to obey the stop sign on Eagle Station Lane by slowly rolling through the intersection as it made a right hand turn to travel southbound on Silver Sage, the report states.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop as the vehicle was turning right. While turning right the vehicle’s driver side wheels crossed the double yellow lines on Silver Sage as it continued southbound on Silver Sage Drive. As the deputy followed, the vehicle corrected and had all four wheels in the correct lane of travel. The officer turned on their siren. The vehicle made a left-hand turn onto Clearview Drive before pulling over, the report states.

The deputy made contact with the driver and noticed he had red and watery eyes. As the driver was looking for his registration, the deputy could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person. The deputy asked if he had been drinking earlier and he stated he had not been drinking. The man consented to standardized field sobriety tests and showed clues of impairment on the tests. He consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .139 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he provided evidentiary tests of .115 and .111. Bail: $1,137.

— A 29-year-old Carson City woman was booked Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $2000 cash.

— A 31-year-old Fallon man was booked Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued May 27, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $6,000 cash.

— A 35-year-old woman was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor warrant, resisting a public officer, arrest of a probationer for violation of conditions and trespass. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 41-year-old woman was arrested early Sunday for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, at 1:34 a.m. a deputy observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Stewart Street traveling in the middle of both lanes while failing to maintain a lane.

While observing the driver, she reached the intersection of Stewart and William and was in the through lane, continuing northbound on Stewart Street and crossed the solid white line to turn eastbound on East William. The driver struck a construction cone and nearly struck an additional cone further down the road, the report states.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop on Rand Avenue and made contact with the driver. The deputy noticed the driver to have bloodshot red and watery eyes and was slurring her speech. She explained that she believed she was stopped because she had a hard time seeing the construction cones as she was not wearing her glasses, the report states.

While speaking, the deputy could smell an odor of alcohol coming from her breath. The deputy asked if she had been drinking. She admitted she had left a bar and had a couple drinks. The officer asked her to exit the vehicle and step in front of the patrol vehicle.

While she was walking to the front of the patrol vehicle, she stumbled and lost her balance nearly falling, according to the report. The deputy asked if she would participated in standardized field sobriety tests. She explained that she was willing to participate but knew she would fail them, the report states. She showed clues of impairment on the tests and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Bail: $1,137.

— A 77-year-old Carson City man was arrested June 13 for suspicion of misdemeanor battery. According to the booking report, a deputy was dispatched at 2 a.m. to the 1000 block of South Carson Street for a report of a fight between two male subjects. The deputy arrived and made contact with a male subject who was sitting in his chair in the front of his room.

The male was asked what happened. He said that his neighbor and him got into a physical altercation. He said the man grabbed his arm and attempted to pull him into his room. The man showed the deputy his left arm, where the deputy observed fresh marks and blood. The deputy also observed fresh marks and blood on his left elbow and nose. The man advised that those were all from the suspect, the report states.

The deputy made contact with a witness and asked him what happened. He said he was watching TV and heard some yelling and so he looked outside. He advised when he looked outside, he observed the suspect grabbing the victim’s arm and then the victim swatting his hands away from him. He said he didn’t see anything else.

The victim advised he wanted to press charges. An officer made contact with the suspect who was intoxicated and could not provide an answer to what happened. He was arrested. Bail: $1,137.

— A Carson City woman was arrested June 13 for two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants issued June 3, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.

— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested June 13 for suspicion of gross misdemeanor unlawful use of calling 911 and a misdemeanor warrant for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $1,137.

— A 62-year-old Carson City man, Donald Kelp Measel, was arrested June 13 for suspicion of felony possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance 30.4 grams of methamphetmine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the investigation, which included a search warrant of his College Parkway apartment, Carson City Special Enforcement Team detectives located the methamphetamine, controlled substance classified pills, a digital scale with methamphetamine residue and glass pipes. Bail: $7,500.

— A 40-year-old Reno man was arrested June 12 for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy made a traffic stop for an obstructed license plate. A deputy also observed the driver of the vehicle smoking from a marijuana vape pen at the intersection of Highway 50 and Fairview in the left turn lane.

During the stop, a deputy could smell a slight odor of alcohol and asked the man if he would be willing to perform standardized field sobriety tests. The man agreed and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He was arrested for DUI. The man consented to an evidentiary blood draw. Bail: $1,137.

— A 53-year-old Carson City woman, Sally Jean Whooley, was booked June 12 for a felony bench warrant issued out of Carson City. Bail: $1,000.

— A 48-year-old Truckee, Calif., woman, Kelley Michelle Matulich, was booked June 12 into Carson City Jail for a felony warrant alleging fraudulent use of a credit or debit card with intent to defraud and misdemeanor petit larceny. Bail: $1,500.

— A 43-year-old man, Raheem Ahmad Hanif, was booked June 12 into Carson City Jail for a felony warrant alleging obtaining and using personal identify information of another to avoid or delay prosecution for an unlawful act. Bail: $7,500.

— A 31-year-old Mound House woman was booked for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.

— A Sun valley man was booked June 12 into Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor warrant alleging driving with a suspended driver’s license. Bail: $777.
