Icy, slippery roads but surprisingly very few reported accidents in Carson City this Saturday morning, according to Carson City Sheriff’s Office dispatch.

Deputies patrolling the streets have come upon a number of spinouts, and a couple of fender benders but thus far no injury accidents as of 9:15 this morning, a dispatcher said.

Anywhere between 4 to 8 inches fell in Carson City overnight, according to preliminary reports from the National Weather Service in Reno with higher amounts in the foothill areas. There’s a report of up to 10 inches of snow on the west side of Carson City and 8 inches of snow in the Mound House area, and between 5 to 6 inches reported around Dayton, said Jessica Kielhorn, technician for the weather service in Reno. Lake Tahoe resorts report anywhere between 16 inches to two feet.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Lopez reports three area accidents Saturday morning before 9:30 a.m. A 25-year-old Dayton woman driving a blue Jeep was injured in a vehicle rollover accident in the southbound lane of I-580 at Bowers Mansion.

A second accident on the freeway was reported south of Carson City near the Arrowhead exit, no injuries were reported. It also involved a Jeep.

In Douglas County a Nissan lost control and hit a cable rail in the northbound lane near Muller Lane.
