Looks like a great snowsport season ahead as Tahoe resorts are opening all over, the latest being Sierra-at-Tahoe on Tuesday.

La Niña has dropped more than six feet of snow since Friday when the storm first rolled in and forecasters are calling for another 2 to 4 feet possible late Monday. It’s cold, it’s dry, it’s white and it’s ski time.

Sierra-at-Tahoe will open at noon on Tuesday with Easy Rider Express, Rock Garden and Nob hill, accessing terrain for all ability levels. There will be small to large rail features on Broadway. Lift tickets will be $5 for kids and $20 for adults with proceeds going to local sports teams.

Sierra plans to open top to bottom Wednesday. See Sierra-At-Tahoe.com for full details on lifts, runs, and upcoming events.

This is the earliest opening for Sierra Resort since the winter of 2004-2005 and the snowiest November in nearly eight years.
