The Carson City Sheriff’s Office detained eleven individuals between Nov. 10 and Nov. 11, 2025 with arrests relating to domestic battery, obstruction and drug charges. Calls leading to arrest included an “unknown situation” with two men in a port-a-potty, a domestic battery resulting from a hair appointment argument, a domestic battery resulting from an argument over how to pay for food, and more.
Arrests on November 10, 2025
On November 10, a 37-year-old Glenbrook woman was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office counter at approximately 4:10 p.m. Deputies reported that the woman arrived wanting to turn themselves in on an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed by deputies for charges of domestic battery first, carrying a $3,000 bond, and the individual was subsequently booked into the Carson City Jail.
Later that evening, a 34-year-old transient man was arrested for Petit Larceny and an outside agency warrant. Deputies were dispatched to a grocery store on E William St. on the report of a theft.
According to the arrest report, the suspect was accused of stealing small tools from another individual’s backpack.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the suspect and asked him what was going on. He said a man had been following him around and threatening him, and had been following him from the area of the Nugget. Deputies told the suspect that the man had called and reported the suspect for stealing items from his backpack.
The suspect told deputies he’d emptied his backpack in front of the grocery store to show the man he didn’t have any of his property, but the man continued to threaten him. Deputies asked what the man was accusing him of taking, and he said some tools. Deputies asked if he had any tools that were not his, and he said he’d been given some tools by a third individual.
He told deputies that the third individual had a backpack with him when the suspect ran into him at the Nugget. He said the third individual handed him some tools and told him to sell them or trade them for something.
He said the man then approached him “very aggressively with a long wrench in his hands” and began yelling at him to give him back his property. He said he went into the casino, then came over the grocery store. He said the man followed him to the grocery store and again yelled at him to give him back his property.
Deputies asked for his identification, which he provided, and dispatch advised he had a warrant out of Douglas. He was detained while deputies asked store employees to check the bathroom, as the man stated he’d witnessed the suspect go into the bathroom. Inside, a bag with the stolen tools were located.
Deputies spoke with the suspect again, and asked if he knew the items were stolen. He said he “had a feeling something was up with the items” as the third individual “is known to come across things suspiciously” according to the report. The suspect was asked at which point he realized the items belonged to the man, and he said when the man changed him from the casino asking for his property back.
He told deputies he would have returned the items right away if the man hadn’t approached him and threatened him with the long wrench.
He was taken into custody on the warrant and a petit larceny charge and was booked without incident on a bail of $3,000 cash only and $352 bondable.
A 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested at a gas station on N. Carson St. after deputies were dispatched on report of a subject loitering in front of a store. The reporting party said the man had been standing in front of the store for about 45 minutes, and they wanted him trespassed.
Deputies made contact with the suspect who, upon seeing the deputies pull up, got up and walked away to tenter the store. Deputies stopped the suspect and told him they wanted to speak with him, and the store employee wanted him to leave the property.
The suspect was “extremely nervous” according to the report, and said he was waiting for his mother to pick him up and was coming from Douglas County. The deputy stated the man “kept looking in different directions as if he was looking for an escape route to run away from me, and kept trying to put his hands in his pockets even after I told him multiple times to keep his hands out of his pockets.”
At one point, the man began to cry and when the deputy asked why he was so nervous, “he just stared at me.” Deputies asked if he had any weapons on him, and he said no. When deputies asked if he had any drugs on him, “his bottom lip began to quiver and he started to cry again,” then said yes.
He told deputies he had fentanyl in tin foil in his pocket. Deputies searched his person and located a piece of tin foil with a “rock” of presumed fentanyl along with a straw with white residue in both ends inside the pocket of the suspect’s jacket. Dispatch also confirmed he had a warrant for his arrest.
He was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the hospital for medical clearance as he admitted to having using fentanyl earlier in the day. He was later transferred back to the jail and booked on the warrant with a $1,500 cash-only bail, and possession and paraphernalia charges with a bondable bail of $3,637.

Arrests on November 11, 2025
On November 11, a 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested near Wildcat Peak Dr. at 4:42 p.m. after deputies were dispatched for an “unknown situation” involving two people being inside of a port-a-potty for an hour.
Upon arrival, deputies saw one man walking out of the port-a-potty and told him to sit down. They asked who else was in the port-a-potty, and he said a managed Brian, but could provide no other information.
The arrest report said that deputies gave verbal commands outside to exit and “after around three minutes” the second man finally did.
The second man gave his name as Brian Johnson and provided a birthdate, but dispatch advised no record of an individual by the name and DOB.
The deputy asked the man if he had any scars or tattoos on his arms that could help provide identification, and the man said no. The deputy asked if he could look themselves for any tattoos, and the man said that that would be a search, and he would not consent. The deputy told the man they were asking him to voluntarily show his arms, and they would not be searching him, but the man declined again.
Deputies asked if he knew his social security number, and he provided one; however, dispatch advised that the number given and the name given were aliases for the suspect’s true name, and that he had an active but non-extraditable arrest warrant out of Churchill County.
Deputies asked the man if the name dispatch had provided was his real name, and he confirmed it was. Dispatch also advised he was an ex-felon.
Deputies asked how long he had been in Carson City, and he said a couple days. While speaking to the first man, deputies asked how long he had known the second man, and he said about two weeks.
Based on providing a false name and being in Carson City for at least two days, deputies took him into custody for obstruction and ex-felon failing to register with a bail of $879.
A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 6:25 p.m. for domestic battery first following a dispute at a residence on College Parkway.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched on report of the man pushing their girlfriend who is also the mother of their two-year-old child. The reporting party said they witnessed the man push her against the wall after the victim texted the reporting party asking them to come to the home while they were arguing.
They said they witnessed the victim holding the toddler while the man was trying to get the toddler away from her, and they saw him push her against a wall, then grab her and try to pull the toddler away.
Upon arrival deputies spoke with the man who told deputies he’d been in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. He said they were arguing about money to pay for food.
Deputies asked if the argument became physical, and he said no.
Deputies then spoke with the girlfriend and asked her what happened, noting she was “visibly upset” and looked as if she’d been crying with “red eyes and red colored cheeks.”
She told deputies she and the boyfriend had been arguing about money for food, and when she was holding her child, the man tried to take them from her. They said the man pushed her against a wall, then grabbed the strap of her purse she was wearing across her body on her chest.
Deputies asked her to pull her hair from her neckline and noted a mark on her collarbone area and a scratch across her chest.
The man was taken into custody for domestic battery first and transported to the jail without issue on a $3,000 bail.
A 51-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 10:43 a.m. for domestic battery first at a residence in the 2500 block of Poole Way.
According to the arrest report, deputies were initially dispatched on report of a dispute between a mother and a daughter over a juvenile child in the residence.
The victim told deputies she had made previous arrangements with her mother to take her younger sibling to get their hair cut. When she arrived to pick her sibling up, she said her mother had forgotten about the appointment and her mother got upset. She said she asked her sibling if they had showered for the appointment, to which their mother “got even more mad” because she believed the daughter and the sibling were in an argument due to them speaking in English.
The victim said their mother began yelling at her telling her to leave and grabbed her shoe off her foot and hit her in the upper left chest area with the shoe. She said she grabbed her mother’s second shoe and “gently swung it towards [her mother] but the shoe never struck [her]” according to the report.
The victim told deputies she told their mother they “weren’t sign to go down that route” and went and sat down on the couch in the living room. She said her mother followed her into the living room and slapped her in the face. She said she grabbed her by the hair and pulled her off the couch, causing her to hit her right arm on the coffee table; deputies noted she had an injury on her arm consistent with her story.
She said she and her mother then began fighting on the living room floor, and advised she was able to get on top of her mother and hold her on the ground by her hair and stayed on top of her until another sibling came out of their room and broke up the altercation. She denied ever punching or hitting her mother.
The report noted the daughter had a scrape on her forearm, a scratch on her left hand, and a scratch on her left jaw.
Deputies spoke with the mother who said she was upset when the daughter arrived and said she was taking the younger sibling to a hair appointment, because she was always taking the younger sibling without her permission. She said she told the victim she couldn’t take the sibling to the hair appointment and began arguing. She confirmed she hit her daughter in the arm with her shoe, and said this angered the daughter who then grabbed her mother by the hair and pulled her to the ground until her other child pulled them apart.
The report noted the mother had a scratch on her chest and bruising on her hair line from hitting her head, according to the report.
Deputies determined the mother to be the primary aggressor, and took her into custody for domestic battery first with a $3,000 bail.
