It’s time again to take pride in Carson City by pruning trees, shrubs and raking up leaves.

The Carson City Public Works Operations Division will be out to pick up garden and yard debris Nov. 14-17.

Leaves must be bagged, and limbs must be tied in bundles. They also need to be less than six feet long and no more than 4 inches in diameter. Each bag and bundle cannot exceed 60 pounds, or they will not be picked up.

Material to be picked up is limited to vegetation only: Leaves, limbs, and prunings.

Items such as household garbage, old appliances, furniture or lumber cannot be accepted.

Please place the material you wish to have picked up near the curb in plain view by November 14 at 7:15 a.m. Public Works crews will begin pick-ups on Monday, November 14 at 7:30 a.m. Pick-ups will continue through Thursday, November 17 at 5:30 p.m.

There will be no pickups after Thursday, November 17.

Carson City Public Works is currently accepting calls to be placed on its pick-up list until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10. Please call 887-2355 by then to be put on the list for free pickup.
