A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday in the 1700 block of North Carson Street for two counts suspicion of child neglect, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the Frontier Motel in reference to a report of a dispute between tenants. Deputies located the suspect at a room with the door partially opened.
The woman was holding an infant who was crying. The woman had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath and was unsafely holding the unclothed 4-month-old infant and holding a cigarette in the other hand while attempting to get her four-year-old son out of the shower, the arrest report states.
The officer asked the woman to hand over the baby to a deputy on scene. The officer observed a red bump on the left side of the baby’s head and asked if something happened. The woman denied any wrong doing. The officer asked the woman to provide a preliminary breath test. She blew a .216, according to the arrest report. Child Protective Service was asked to come to the scene.
The woman was advised she was going to be arrested for two counts of child neglect. The woman resisted arrest, kneeing one of the deputies in the groin area. While the woman was in the back of the patrol vehicle, she kicked the deputy again at least two or three times in the groin area. Bail: $7,912.

— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday in the 3300 block of Debbie Way on felony warrants alleging domestic battery with strangulation and dissuading a victim from reporting a crime, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Francisco Medina Arroyo was arrested at the residence on a warrant service. Bail: $20,000.
— A 35-year-old transient, Dale Jones, was arrested Wednesday, 3 p.m. in the area of Roop and Little streets on felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor contempt of court.
According to the arrest report, Jones had an outstanding warrant for contempt of court and was running from deputies along Roop Street. He jumped into a drainage ditch filled with weeds and was placed into custody. Officers located three hypodermic devices in his pocket and a small flashlight. Inside the flashlight was a small amount of methamphetamine. Bail: $2,722.
— A 68-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 8:18 p.m. in the 400 block of West Winnie Lane on misdemeanor warrants for violation of a suspended sentence and battery. Bail $6,000.
— A 38-year-old transient was arrested Wednesday in the 400 block of East William Street for violation of bail condition through the Department of Alternative Sentencing. The man had beer in his possession and had a preliminary breath test of .096. His conditions for DAS was to not to consume or be in possession of alcohol. Bail: $3,000.
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 5:13 p.m. in the 300 block of Dan Street for a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $1,000.
— A 47-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 4:05 p.m. in the 800 block of Travis Drive for suspicion of disorderly conduct. The man had been staying at the residence of his ex-wife’s boyfriend. He became intoxicated and began fighting with the boyfriend, according to the arrest report.
The argument went outside the residence where the man began yelling and using profanity at neighbors. Deputies gave orders for the man to stop, giving warnings several times. The man refused, was pepper sprayed and taken into custody. He had a preliminary breath test of .170 at the time of booking. Bail: $242.
