Carson City fire and rescue and sheriff’s deputies responded Saturday night to a bicyclist reported to be seriously injured in the area of Kings Canyon and Ormsby.
The call came into dispatch at 7:35 p.m as a bicycle crash. A Care Flight medical helicopter has been dispatched. The victim is described as a man in his 30s.
An ambulance will transport the injured cyclist to the Carson City Airport where he will be taken by Care Flight to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
In a second call shortly after the crash, emergency crews responded to a home in Carson City where a water heater exploded, causing injuries. The victim was reported to have suffered burns to their body and was to be transported to a burn center via Care Flight, which was to land at the Boys and Girls Club.
