Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol division has identified a 51-year-old man who died in a fatal motorcycle crash that happened Sept. 24 in Storey County.
Tracy Somers was riding his motorcycle northbound on SR341 near mile marker 6 in Storey County. For reasons unconfirmed, Somers failed to negotiate a curve and the right side of the motorcycle struck the guardrail, causing the motorcycle to overturn and ejecting the rider, according to NHP. Somers died of injuries at the scene.
Speed and impairment are suspected factors in this crash.
