Over the summer, 12 students from Carson High’s FFA Program attended Nevada FFA’s annual Summer Leadership Camp.

The students from Carson High that attended the annual summer leadership camp were:  Kathleen Brendel, Carly Croley, Alexis La Fountain-Olney, Molly Whatford, Allie Shine, Lily Hopkins, Emma Wells, Marcelo Castillo, Adam Garza, Drake Graham, Alex Parker, and Lucas Bryant.

During camp these students learned leadership skills, made connections through the FFA, and learned responsibility. They had fun interacting with other chapters, and learned good ideas to bring back to improve their chapter’s skills.

Also during camp, the Capitol FFA officers had a few sessions where they got to learn about their duties in the office that they hold as officers and they got to learn new things to bring back to their chapter from the other chapters. Also at camp these students learned leadership skills.

Carson High’s FFA Chapter officers had their Chapter Officer Retreat as well and took their knowledge from previous years or from Summer Leadership Camp and brought the ideas to their chapter and discussed what kinds of events they wanted to do this year and if they wanted to add any new events or ideas that they had heard about from other chapters, they also set goals for the officer team and goals that they would like to achieve by the end of the year.
