As we count down the days to the 2025 Wild Wild West Nevada Day Celebration, organizers have announced several exciting schedule updates to better accommodate participants and enhance the experience for all attendees.
The Saturday, Nov. 1 statehood celebration festivities will kick off bright and early as the Hot Air Balloons begin preparations at 6:00 a.m., with launch scheduled for 8:00 a.m. — a breathtaking start to the state’s largest celebration of Nevada’s heritage.
Starting at 8:00 a.m. and running until the party’s over, vendors, local artists, and food trucks will fill Telegraph Street, Proctor Street, and the 3rd StreetParking Lot. With handcrafted goods, local eats, and family-friendly activities, these vendor areas will create a lively and festive atmosphere for all ages to enjoy throughout the day.
The always thrilling World Championship Single Jack Rock Drilling Contest will begin around10:00 a.m., showcasing the grit and skill of competitors continuing one of Nevada’s proudest traditions.
The main event — the Nevada Day Parade, featuring this year’s Grand Marshal Bob Tallman and the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, “Silver Belle” — will step off promptly at 10:00 a.m. through downtown Carson City.
After the parade, make your way to Carson City Toyota from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the Whistle Stop Celebration — a special opportunity for the public to see The People’s Tree up close and sign the official banner that will accompany it on its journey to Washington, D.C.
And keeping tradition alive, the Nevada Day Beard Contestreturns at 2:00 p.m. on the McFadden Plaza Stage (3rd Street). Hosted by Cipriani’s Downtown Barber Shop and Paradise Salon–Spa–Wellness, this fan-favorite event celebrates Nevada’s finest facial hair across multiple categories — from “Best Groomed” to “Scruffiest.”
