The Carson Senators MTB Cycling team won their fourth race in a row at Hidden Valley Regional Park on Sunday, Oct. 15. The Senators have won every race in the Nevada Interscholastic Cycling League this season.

The boys and girls both put in a strong effort to put the Senators on top, with Galena in 2nd place and the Reno Huskies in third.

Sylis Chalmers put in a particularly fine performance with the first individual win this season for the Carson High School boys team. On the girl’s side, Riley Kuhlman impressed with her fourth podium of the year.

The season wraps up with the Nevada championship race on Oct. 21 at Western Nevada College in Carson City.

Racing starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday and spectators are welcome. The V&T paved bike path behind the college is a good spot for viewing the race. For the safety of the racers and the public, please refrain from using the following Ash Canyon trails from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday: Bob’s trail, Seven Steps, Vicee and Jackrabbit.
