Carson City, NV — Dr. Danika Williams, a graduate of Carson High School and longtime Carson City resident, has been named one of the 40 Under 40 in Public Health by the de Beaumont Foundation.

This national recognition honors her leadership and contributions to improving health outcomes across Nevada, including through her current role as an epidemiologist with Northern Nevada Public Health.

The de Beaumont Foundation announced the program’s Class of 2025 this week after reviewing nominations from hundreds of public health professionals. Honorees were selected by a distinguished panel for their achievements, innovation, and commitment to strengthening public health in their communities.

“The 40 Under 40 Class of 2025 is a high-achieving, passionate group of professionals whose accomplishments and experience showcase the very best of the public health field,” said Brian C. Castrucci, DrPH, president and CEO of the de Beaumont Foundation. “I look forward to working with them to advance health outcomes in communities across the nation.”

Dr. Williams (Carson High Class of 2006) has spent more than a decade working in public health throughout Nevada, including leadership roles with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. She currently serves as an epidemiologist with Northern Nevada Public Health and as a research affiliate with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Public Health. She is a former president of the Nevada Public Health Association and has authored several peer-reviewed publications on topics such as infectious disease, emergency preparedness, and advancing health equity—particularly within Nevada communities.
