Carson High FBLA hosts first-ever Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Launch Pad.

The Carson High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter proudly hosted the first-ever Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Launch Pad, welcoming 90 Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) and FBLA students from across Nevada’s Northern Region for a day of learning, leadership and fun.

The event gave students an opportunity to learn more about their student organizations, participate in leadership activities and connect with peers from other schools.

Through engaging activities, students practiced teamwork and communication while building excitement for the year ahead.

“It was an honor for CHS to host this inaugural event,” said Mr. Cody Downing, Carson High business and marketing teacher and FBLA co-advisor. “Students had an amazing time learning together, making connections and discovering opportunities through DECA and FBLA. Thank you to the students, advisers and organizers who helped make the first CTSO Launch Pad a success.”

The event was designed to help students begin the school year with a stronger understanding of their organizations, the leadership opportunities available to them and the connections they can build with fellow members.

FBLA and DECA provide students with opportunities to develop business, marketing, leadership and career-readiness skills through educational activities, competitions and professional development.
