The Storey County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person responsible for the death of a Reno man as a result of a hit and run collision that happened Sunday in the area of Electric Avenue east of USA Parkway.
The sheriff’s office issued the following information:
On October 11, 2026, at 9:52AM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Electric Avenue east of USA Parkway in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center for a report of a deceased subject on the shoulder of the roadway.
Upon arrival in the area, deputies located the subject and attempted aid, however he was found to be deceased. Initial investigation indicates the subject was a victim of a hit and run crash. The victim has been identified as Philip Arnold (age 47 of Reno, NV). His next of kin were located and notified.
This investigation is ongoing. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the Storey County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division (775-847-0959) and reference case 26-1564.
