The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted robbery involving two suspects that happened Monday in which a person was stabbed.

According to Carson City Sheriff’s Detective Steve Olson, the incident happened between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. when two suspects knocked on an apartment door in 1600 block of Airport Road. The apartment was occupied by three people. When the resident opened the door, the two suspects rushed him and entered the apartment. The suspects were armed with knives and demanded money.

The resident fought with one of the suspects and was cut during the struggle. A second occupant, wrestled with the second suspect and was stabbed and cut during the struggle. He was able to disarm the suspect and took off a beanie that was covering the suspect’s face, said Olson. Both of the suspects fled the apartment on foot and a very large and unique knife was left behind by one of the suspects.

The first suspect is an Hispanic male, wearing a gray hoodie and black pants. The second suspect is a white male, 16-18 years old, about 5’08” tall, approximately 140 pounds with medium length blond or brown curly hair.
